Chef Ed Recipe – Reese’s Pieces Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients: (Makes about 24 cookies)

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Reese’s Pieces candies
  • Optional: Flaky sea salt for sprinkling

 


Instructions:

  1. Prep the Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the Butter and Sugars:
    In a large bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy and fluffy.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients:
    Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
  4. Dry Ingredients:
    In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the Fun:
    Stir in chocolate chips and Reese’s Pieces, reserving a few for topping each cookie.
  6. Scoop and Shape:
    Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets. Gently press a few extra candies/chips on top for bakery-style looks.
