🍑 Ingredients
For the trifle layers:
- 1 pound cake or sponge cake, cubed (store-bought or homemade)
- 3 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced thin
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup vanilla pudding or pastry cream
- ¼ cup peach preserves or peach syrup (optional for extra flavor)

1. Whip the cream:
In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form. Chill until ready to layer.
2. Prepare the cake:
Cube your pound cake or sponge cake. Optional: brush with peach syrup or liqueur for added moisture and flavor.
3. Build the trifle:
In a large glass trifle dish or individual glasses, layer in this order:
- A layer of cake cubes
Repeat layers until you reach the top.
4. Finish and chill:
Top with remaining whipped cream and garnish with crushed cookies, mint, or almonds. Chill at least 1 hour before serving for best flavor blending.
